ClipWise — Privacy Policy

Summary: ClipWise stores all data locally in your browser by default. If you opt in to Google Drive Sync, your clips are stored in your own Google Drive (app-private folder). ClipWise does not collect, transmit, or share any data with the extension developer or third parties.

All data you create with ClipWise (clips, projects, tags, ratings, and notes) is stored in your browser's local IndexedDB database. This data:

Google Drive Sync (Optional)

ClipWise offers an optional sync feature that stores your data in your own Google Drive account. When you enable sync:

Sync is off by default. You must explicitly enable it and authorize with your Google account.

Network Requests

By default, ClipWise makes zero network requests and operates entirely offline after installation.

If you enable Google Drive Sync, ClipWise connects only to the Google Drive API (googleapis.com) to read and write your sync data. No other network requests are made. No data is sent to the extension developer or any analytics service.
